Time Out for Education at the SEN 2016 Fall Conference
/We spend most of our time in the showroom and with customers. This is where we put our kitchen and bath design expertise into practice by providing design solutions that enhance our customers’ lifestyles. A few times a year, we take a few days away from the showroom to learn about the latest design trends and business practices, and to share knowledge among a network of kitchen and bath design experts from across the country.
The SEN Semi-Annual Conferences are an ideal time to achieve this goal. Members of the Lang’s Kitchen & Bath team attended the SEN 2016 Fall Conference event last month, held from September 13-16, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM. The event included workshops, panels, and roundtables, offering the latest insights into best business and design practices.
Meeting with our design contemporaries from around the country offers a chance to share experiences and offer advice on how to deliver the best service to our customers. Vendor partners also attend the conference, displaying their latest product offerings. We returned to our showroom in Newtown, PA armed with plenty of inspiration!
Here are a few of the highlights from this year’s SEN Fall Conference:
Workshops
Robb Best presented an informative session on the neuroscience of selling, and offered insights into how to better understand our customers and deliver a more effective service.
Mr. Steam presented an informative workshop on the benefits of steam showers. Who wouldn’t enjoy having a steam shower in their home, but did you know that they also have significant health benefits? Steam showers can positively affect respiratory health by improving breathing. They also offer skin care benefits, by cleansing and hydrating the skin, among other advantages. We also learned about the key elements for establishing a steam room in your home, and the best tips for customizing a steam room.
Products
Steve Bell of Bellmont Cabinet Co. presented their latest product offerings.
The new Oceania freestanding tubs are the perfect addition to any bathroom design.
Caesarstone showed off their great new colors for quartz surfaces.
Landmark Lighting’s display gave us a look at their latest product offerings for home lighting.
Daltile’s 3D metal tile is a great new option to add color and texture to tiled surfaces.
This event provided a great opportunity to learn about new products and design practices. We took home plenty of inspiration and will be applying it to our kitchen designs and bathroom projects this year. Contact us today to find out more!
